Chepstow DCS - 18/12/11 - Members Stakes - Open - 1 Theobald's Tycarreg Strangely Familyr, I rated this b/w Pointer dog as the best of the excellent representatives & now see he also came out of the Gundog NSC. Just so very typy & fills the eye as he has aristocratic stature on excellent legs & feet, brisket to elbow, well ribbed back, well coupled, lovely head, balanced angles fore & aft, moved as well as you would expect & hope, surely he will make his mark over the next couple of years as he reaches full maturity & strength of form? We had a super day at the Southern Pointer Club Open Show on November 26th 2011. Rhys won the Graduate dog class, went on to to be Reserve Best Dog in Show and then Reserve Best in Show. Thank you Michelle McManus (judge).
The previous day we attended the Welsh Kennel Club Top Dog and Puppy event held in the Commodore Hotel, Llandrindod Wells which was run on a match basis. The two surprise judges hailed from Denmark and although we were beaten by a mastiff it was a lovely day and we came home with a Goody Bag and lots of freebies.

On Saturday 17th September 2011 at Newport (Gwent) and District Canine Society Open Show we were delighted when judge Mrs Carole Wood chose Rhys for her winner of the Pointer Open class and then awarded him Best of Breed. The icing on the cake however was when she also chose him as her Gundog Group 1!
